This blog started in May of 2018, when my husband and I began a year+ of travels. This site is to give you a feeling for what that's like.
10 months into it, I can tell you that it has been wonderful, and life-changing in a very direct way: I've decided to retire early. In these pages you'll find out why.
I grew up in an academic family, so I was used to the notion of uprooting your life every few years to live somewhere else. Here's where I've lived so far:
- Winnipeg, Canada (birth)
- Sweden (age 3)
- Edmonton, Canada (mostly, from ages 5 - 21)
- Switzerland (age 10)
- Montreal (age 21)
- Ottawa (age 22)
- Toronto (mostly, ages 23 - 41)
- The Netherlands (age 31)
- Paris region, France (with 2 kids, aged 2 & 5)
- Edmonton, Canada (mostly, ages 41 to ?)
- Pau, SW France (with kids, aged 15 & 18)
UPDATE: March 2019
- Vancouver, Canada (May - June 2018 & March - May 2019)
- London, UK (summer of 2018)
- Lima, Peru (Nov 2018 - Feb 2019)
- And a lot of travelling in between, and more to come!
